This is the basic training course for the Coastal Chapter of the MS Master Naturalist Program. This year's class will cover topics of forest ecology, coastal and estuarine ecology, entomology, human impacts, fish, wildlife management, forest management, coastal habitats, and ornithology. Please check the schedule below for general class meeting dates and locations. All weeknight (M-F) classes will be from 5:30pm to 8:30pm; one Friday and all Saturday classes will be all day (roughly 9am to 4pm). General locations of each class are as follows: 9/6 - Biloxi, MS; 9/7 - Wiggins, MS; 9/15 - Biloxi, MS; 9/22 - Dauphin Island, AL; 9/25 - Biloxi, MS; 9/29 - Moss Point, MS; 10/4 - Ocean Springs, MS; 10/6 - Perkinston, MS; 10/12 - Biloxi, MS. Most of these trips are weather dependent, so they are subject to change. Field trips include inshore and offshore boat trips and hiking through the forest.
